Israel is a terrorist state

How long before exploding electronic devices come home to roost?

Edward Snowden as usual understands the significance of Israel’s mass terrorist attack in Lebanon today that has injured and killed nearly 3,000 people. However the Israelis did it — inserting explosives in pagers or using malware to cause their batteries to explode — it introduces a new form of terrorism to the world. As Snowden states without equivocation, this attack is not just a crime, it makes the world less safe.

Imagine if hundreds and hundreds of senior U.S. government and military officials were killed or injured when their phones exploded. We would be bombing half the world by the next day.

But it needn’t be a coordinated attack. One exploding phone that causes an airplane crash would be more disruptive than 9/11. Everyone is now an unwilling suicide bomber. It’s one thing to stop a guy with a knife from hijacking a plane. How do you guard against a thousand different electronic devices on a passenger jet without wreaking havoc in society and the economy?

Terrorism is almost exclusively a Western phenomenon. It has been racialized such that terrorism in the media is attributed almost exclusively to brown and Black people, especially Muslims.

When it comes to the modern car bomb, the Irish Republican Army were early adopters, according to Mike Davis’s fascinating study, Buda’s Wagon: A Brief History of the Car Bomb. It quickly jumped from Belfast to Beirut. Davis writes that in Beirut, “The first bombing in July 1972 was organized by the Israeli Mossad to kill Ghassan Kanafani, famed novelist and spokesperson for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.”

In 1979, another Israeli car bomb in Beirut killed the organizer of Black September, responsible for the 1972 killings of 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics. That bombing, which also killed “four innocent passersby, including a German nun and British student,” was “greeted with public celebration in Israel.”

Now they take to social media and cackle with glee over Israel’s mass terrorist attack, like noted ghoul Michael Rapaport.

That’s about all Zionists have left: an unparalleled ability to spread mayhem and murder. I will write more about this soon, but Zionism is finished. U.S. weapons and money can sustain it in a zombie-like state, but it is international pariah that has been buried under an avalanche of divestment and academic, cultural, and scientific boycotts, its economy is shrinking, hundreds of thousands of Israelis have fled abroad, and the remaining population is at war against itself.

In the meantime, more war and more war is the program of Netanyahu and the fascist settler parties that keep him in power — whom some Israeli historians describe as “a copy of Nazism [and] exactly like Hitler Youth.”

The exploding pagers were aimed at much at Biden as much as Hezbollah. He had dispatched Amos Hochstein, an envoy ,to Israel. He arrived on Monday to literally beg Netanyahu not to start a new war with Hezbollah. Instead, Israel carried out a massive terrorist attack the next day designed to start a war. Israel did the same exact thing on July 31 by assassinating Ismail Haniyeh, the chief Hamas official negotiating a ceasefire in Gaza.

Obviously this is a huge blow to Hezbollah who along with the Houthis were the only meaningful checks on the genocide. Hundreds if not a couple thousand of their personnel have been taken out of action. This is a huge if temporary blow to their command-and-control structure. And the fact Israel has disrupted their electronic communications will make it extremely difficult to coordinate attacks and defense.

Additionally, Israel will be able to identify many of the wounded as Hezbollah operatives. Secrecy and security have long been some of Hezbollah’s most powerful weapons, and both are in tatters. Expect Israel to launch more attacks on Hezbollah. In war, you kick your opponent precisely when they are down.

But whatever gains Israel achieves, it will be a Pyrrhic victory. Netanyahu cannot stop the disintegration of the Zionist project. No one in the modern age comes back from a genocide like Gaza. And he is giving the world a new form of terrorism that will blow up in our faces. like it always does.
