Thank you for this work. Can you say a word about Gray Zone's work on this, as well? Was it just because theirs was behind a paywall that it didn't get much traction?

Maybe I should re-up my sub to Yes! to show my support for them having the guts to publish this.

Thank you for your support, Karen! And I would definitely encourage you to subscribe to YES!

In terms of the Grayzone, they didn't do anything significant. I would give much more credit to Mondoweiss foremost and then Electronic Intifada for surfacing a lot of links that undermined the Israel rape claims.

The problem these days is many people think linking is reporting. It's not. My earlier article in The Intercept about Zaka was more compiling links. I connected the dots in a way that no one else had, but I was still relying on other people's reporting.

All Mondoweiss, EI, and TGZ did was link to actual reporting. But as I said, Mondoweiss should get most of the credit for drawing people's attention to other significant reports.

Now, for YES Magazine, I did actual reporting. I interviewed family members of Gal and Nagi Abdush. More important, I conducted a two-hour interview with the author of the PHRI report in which she basically disavowed all the particulars in the report.
